Did you know that according to a recent survey, 40 percent of adults gave themselves a grade of “C” “D” or “F” when it comes to their own personal financial knowledge? Furthermore, Seventy-five percent say they would benefit from advice and answers to everyday financial questions from a professional.
Through a partnership with OneMain Holdings Inc. and Achieving the Dream, Triton College will further help students and community members improve their money management skills and gain financial independence.
OneMain is awarding Triton a $25,000 grant through the Student Financial Empowerment Project to provide financial coaching, integrate financial literacy into student success courses, and deliver financial planning and debt management workshops.
