Some of the most exciting young baseball players in the area will try to catch the eye of professional scouts and college coaches at the 2016 Chicagoland Classic powered by Game Day USA.
The showcase features nearly 200 of the top players from eight of the largest high school conferences in the Chicagoland suburbs.
Triton College’s newly renovated Symonds-Puckett Field, which features a brand new state-of-the-art synthetic turf field, will host event, featuring 10 exciting games over three days.
More than 100 professional scouts and college coaches from the Big 10, Big XII, Pac 12, SEC, Ivy League and U.S. service academies attend the showcase on a regular basis, which is now in its 18th year.
Ten former Chicagoland Classic participants have gone on to play Major League Baseball and more than 50 former players have been selected in the first 20 rounds of the MLB draft. Overall, more than 100 former players have been drafted into professional baseball.
