The Comic and Entertainment Expo returned to Chicago bringing some the of the best in comics, television and film along for the ride. Many came out in their best costumes resembling their favorite hero and villain to show their love of comics. The three day event was indeed packed for the weekend and getting through the crowds was like downtown Chicago during the work week. Although there was a lot of traffic, the sites there was amazing. From the artwork to the tower of shirts, including the chalk art was an eye catcher. This was a good event for collectors to add more to their collection, or for the sellers to come and get top dollar for their comic books. Books that was sold there for as low five for a dollar. One of the perks of the event is there was a lot of give aways from Marvel comics, calenders and posters, in which the crowd greatly took advantage of.
Besides the comics and action figures, there were multiple signing tables where stars such as included “Torchwood” star John Barrowman, “Ghost Hunters” Jason Hawes and TNA wrestler Victoria gave fans a chance to meet them and get an autograph.
This years event was a pleasant to be in attendance of. For those who missed out on a great convention would have to wait until next year to experience the festivities if you are a true comic head. I must admit it was not as big as the one in San Francisco but a good show indeed.
