Volleyball Team to Host Breast Cancer Fundraiser

Triton College Volleyball Team to Host Breast Cancer Fundraiser Oct. 15
The Triton College volleyball team plans to do its part in raising breast cancer awareness during its Tri-Match on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 10:00 a.m. in the Robert M. Collins Center Gymnasium against Morton College and Danville Area Community College.
The Lady Trojans are one of thousands of teams participating in the Dig Pink® National Breast Cancer Awareness Rally to promote breast cancer health education as well as raise funds to help eradicate this disease. All proceeds raised will benefit The Side-Out Foundation, a national 501(c) (3) non-profit organization which supports health care professionals in their pursuit of practical solutions for women and men diagnosed with breast cancer.
There will be several activities for those who attend to help the Triton volleyball team raise funds for The Side-Out Foundation including a raffle and a serving target game between the second and third sets of each match.
Prior to the start of the first match there will be a moment of silence to recognize those who have lost their lives or are fighting breast cancer. The Lady Trojans also encourage any area breast cancer survivors to attend the festivities.
Admission to the Tri-Match will be $3.00 for those wearing pink and $5.00 for those who are not.
In addition, the team is reaching out to local businesses interested in donating towards the fundraiser and adding their logo on to a commemorative Dig Pink t-shirt that will be sold at the event.
For more information on being apart of the ceremonies or to be a donor, contact Triton volleyball head coach Sarah Supol at (708) 456-0300, Ext 3779.
