Triton’s Botanical Gardens

By Lushan Baker

This summer, my 8-year-old grandson and I had the privilege of doing great things together. While spending the summer with his granddad, our quality time found us at Triton College’s Botanical Garden. We actually sat down and enjoyed the pleasantness of this garden. As long as I’ve been here at Triton, I never actually took the time out to really take advantage of the garden. Just like most of our students, who don’t take advantage of the things this school has to offer. So from now on, the 5th Avenue Journal will start putting trivia questions pertaining to Triton College in the paper every time we print. The student who answers the question wins a prize redeemed here at the 5th Avenue Journal. Our first trivial question is? What is the name of the statue in the Botanical garden? And what is the history of this statue?
